Receiving His Blessings...even at 5:45am!

It may come as a shock to some of you, but I am not a morning person. I need at least one cup of coffee before I can even begin to form a sentence. Motherhood added a new element to this problem. I quickly learned to adjust to the middle of the night feedings and diaper changes but it was my hope that all of the "needs" in the middle of the night would soon cease and desist.

Curly has done a great job with this. It is very seldom that she ever calls out in the middle of the night. When she does call out, it is usually before Other Guy and I have turned in for the night so it's not so bad.

Moe on the other hand, still has trouble with the complete definition of "Don't call out unless you are hurt or sick." Sometimes the reasons are completely justifiable, at least in a 2 year old's mind anyway. I mean come on, Simba the lion does need covers and there may come a time when I need to know that bats are shy and gentle. The truth is I sometimes forget that I have two children, so I need to be reminded that Moe has a sister and what her name is and that goes for our dogs too! Bless her heart, she's just trying to be helpful!

There have been two mornings recently when Moe has called out before 6am because she wanted to sing a song she learned at preschool and after you watch it, you too will be reminded to be thankful for your blessings, even at 5:45am. In this one, she simply wanted to remind me that our God is so big!

In this one, she wanted to tell me the story of a fuzzy caterpillar...

Before I sign out, Curly was not to be outdone in this performance so here's a story about a little man named Zacchaeus...

Peace Out!

Is there no place sacred?

Today was a beautiful day here in Kansas. The sun is shining, the air is crisp, life is wonderful. We started our day at our beloved Grace...and that is where things took a turn for the worse.

Service was wonderful, we are continuing on our Parenting series which I just love! For additional information, visit Grace's website or our Pastor Tim Howey's website.

Anyway, you remember our Virginia Tech friends? You know the ones whose sons we lovingly referred to as our future son-n-laws. Well, the fell prey to an attack of a Satanic nature today. They succumbed to an evil that was so strong, I feel they may suffer dire circumstances. It's one thing when children deal with these types of things, you simply pray for them and their parents but when it's the parents encouraging such vile acts, you begin to question your friendship!

I feel as though words would not do their hideous act justice, so I simply took photos so that you could share in our heartache!

Well, that says it all...how somebody could vandalize a car in such a manner and at church no less. All I can say is, "It's on like DONKEY KONG!!!!"
Peace Out!
