Still here...
Well, that title is a little misleading, I guess. No, I'm not still in London. I did make it home, safe, in one piece and in less than 24 hours!
Other Guy and I had a great visit but it is always nice to come home to the kiddos. They were so excited to see us. We had messages on the driveway, a parade, songs and lots of giggles!
This week has offered some interesting extremes. I began my week in church. Other Guy's dad was baptized this weekend so we sat closer to the front of the auditorium. Most of the time we are more middle to the back kind of people because Other Guy and I are usually working so it's easier to slip in and out without being noticed. During worship, we sang the song God of Wonders made popular by Third Day. There is apart in the song where we sing Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty. It was amazing hearing the congregation lift their voices to this chorus. It was like experiencing what Heaven will be like. I had to stop singing just to listen...it was very, very cool!
Yesterday, I joined a friend in what was to be an exciting day confirming their family's adoption of a precious baby girl. However, the birth father "called in" saying work wouldn't allow him to be present. This guy has been in and out of jail and wanted the baby aborted when he found out the girl was pregnant. Not to mention, the birth mom says the encounter was NOT consensual. Sounds like a really nice guy. Any way, he does have rights so the adoption did not get confirmed. It's been postponed to give him ample opportunity to show up and prove himself. Yesterday, I was angry, I was hurt, I was confused...I cried out to God to help me understand. This morning, He did just that. I was reading in the book of Psalm. This is what I read...
Praise God! I will trust in him for I know his will is better than anything I could imagine.
One final thing before signing off...Curly graduates from preschool today. I have a happy sadness about me today...more on that later.
Peace Out!

Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 34:15-19 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all!
Praise God! I will trust in him for I know his will is better than anything I could imagine.
